Qualifications:
Valid multi-categorical certification in Special Education Experience teaching students in self-contained classrooms, preferably K-8th grade Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly with paraprofessionals and other support staff Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment

Columbia, SC Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction to a diverse group of 12 students in a self-contained classroom Collaborate with two paraprofessionals to support student learning and instructional goals Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with district policies Create a positive and structured learning environment that promotes social and academic growth Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs
