Category Schools – Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract In a supportive educational environment dedicated to fostering the growth and development of students with visual impairments, professionals will play a crucial role in delivering tailored instructional services. This position focuses on meeting the diverse needs of approximately 10 K-12 students in an itinerant capacity, allowing for a dynamic and impactful teaching experience.

Qualifications:

Valid teaching certification in Visual Impairment or related field. Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in an itinerant role. Strong understanding of assessment tools and IEP development. Effective communication and collaboration skills to support general education teachers. Ability to create adaptive materials and modify curriculum as needed.

Spring Hill, TN Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction and services to students with visual impairments. Conduct assessments to evaluate student needs and progress. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ensuring goals are monitored and supported. Collaborate with general education teachers to create an inclusive learning environment. Design and adapt educational materials to meet individual student requirements. Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress.
