Position Overview:

Immaculate Conception School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Specialist to provide targeted support for students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized strategies that foster student success.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess students to identify learning strengths and challenges. Develop and implement student support plans (SSPs) to support students with learning differences. Provide direct instruction in small groups or one-on-one settings to address specific learning needs. Work collaboratively with teachers to modify curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessments. Support differentiated instruction in the classroom through co-teaching and resource development. Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and administration regarding student progress and needs. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and educational best practices. Provide professional development and guidance to faculty on best practices for supporting diverse learners. Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and faith-based learning environment.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Learning Disabilities, Educational Psychology, or a related field (Master’s preferred). Valid state teaching certification in Special Education or related field preferred. Experience working with students with learning differences in an educational setting. Strong knowledge of instructional strategies, learning interventions, and assessment tools. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
