Special Ed Teacher | Colchester, Vermont 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Colchester, VT 05446 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to serve students from 2nd grade through adult learners in a K-12 setting. The position is based in Vermont and involves working with a caseload of approximately 10-15 students with learning disabilities or challenges related to reading below grade level.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs Collaborate with support staff including paraprofessionals and other specialists Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly Maintain accurate records and communicate with families and team members
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching license in Vermont Experience working with students who have learning disabilities or significant reading challenges Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Strong communication and organizational skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Location and Schedule:
Position located in Vermont, serving one school within the district School day typically from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Contract duration from August 16 to June 13 for the upcoming school year Virtual casual interview format with flexible scheduling options
