Category Schools – Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in an educational setting in Windsor, VT. This position is a full-time contract role for the duration of the school year, providing essential specialized instruction tailored to meet the unique learning needs of students.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with state and federal guidelines. Deliver differentiated instruction to support students with diverse learning challenges. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student growth. Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and independence.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid state certification in Special Education. Experience working with elementary-aged students. Knowledge of special education laws, instructional techniques, and behavior management. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to adapt to a dynamic classroom setting and meet varied student needs.
