Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and flexible Building Substitute Teacher to support the day-to-day instructional needs of our elementary school. The Building Substitute will be assigned daily to cover classroom teacher absences and provide consistent, high-quality instruction across a variety of grade levels and subject areas. This full-time, school-based role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young learners and can quickly adapt to different classroom settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide instruction based on teacher lesson plans across various elementary grade levels and subjects. Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment conducive to student learning and safety. Manage classroom behavior and routines effectively. Follow school policies and procedures, including emergency protocols and student supervision. Assist with lunch, recess, or hallway duties as assigned. Communicate professionally with students, staff, and administrators. Support other school needs when substitute teaching is not required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; education-related field preferred. Experience working with elementary-aged children is strongly preferred. Strong classroom management, adaptability, and interpersonal skills. Reliable attendance and punctuality.
