GENERAL DUTIES
: A teacher of the gifted and talented identifies and teaches students who exhibit extraordinary learning ability. Additionally, the teacher provides enrichment opportunities to students who are not identified as gifted and talented, but do possess great strengths and abilities so that they may have the opportunity to explore their potential. See attached job description.
QUALIFICATIONS
: Certified teacher in Connecticut in a secondary area Master’s degree preferred Strong pedagogical knowledge about gifted and talented students and their educational needs Course work and knowledge in the area of gifted and talented education Knowledge of strategies and materials for the education of gifted and talented students
