3rd Grade Teacher 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars Tampa, FL This position will be for the 2025 fall semester, reporting to the lower school principal. Qualifications 1. Education background and teaching experience preferred. 2. Florida Certificate or credentials to obtain a certificate. Common Work Activities Include 1. Maintaining a classroom environment based on respect that reflects the values and mission of the Sisters of the Holy Names. 2. Establishing a culture of learning and an environment of positive social interaction that actively engages students in learning and self-motivation. 3. Establishing and maintaining a classroom expectation that challenges students to strive for excellence in all that they do. 4. Confidence in the teaching of all aspects of the curriculum. 5. Planning and developing effective lesson plans that cover the curriculum and address the students’ interests and needs. 6. Integrating technology into the curriculum. 7. Accurately assessing student learning through formative and summative assessments and effectively adapting instruction based on these assessments. 8. Keeping accurate records, ensuring that students are progressing, and monitoring progress through progress reports and report cards. 9. Meeting with students and parents to discuss any concerns or issues with student progress and learning. 10. Participating in school-based committees and working with other teachers in the grade level and other departments in the school. 11.
