Job Description:
The Substitute Teacher at the NWFSC Collegiate High School (CHS) is directly accountable to the Collegiate High School Assistant Principal for the following duties and responsibilities: Adheres to the lesson plans assigned by the classroom teacher
Applies various teaching techniques to encourage participation and facilitate learning
Assigns classwork and homework
Complies with and enforces CHS policies and procedures
Manages the classroom effectively
Maintains discipline in the classroom and fosters a safe productive learning environment
Supervises students
Takes daily attendance
Compile a report of the day for the teacher that includes student attendance, lesson plan progress, and discipline issues
Maintains a tidy and safe classroom for students
Oversees the use of classroom supplies and equipment
As a part of the college’s risk management tool, completes annual mandatory compliance training
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or higher
Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication
