Responsible for providing instruction and training to studentsin the Education and Training Department. Ensures strictconfidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of studentdata. o Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensuresno manipulation of student data. o Ensures classroom is wellorganized and conducive to student learning. Holds studentsaccountable for following Center’s dress code/behavioral standardsof conduct. o Review all plans and schedules to be followed duringthe training day. o Performs all duties regularly assigned to theacademic or career technical instructor. o Produces qualitywork/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner. oMaintains appropriate accountability and work productivitystandards. o Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meetestablished goals and deadlines. o Understands and applies jobknowledge to effectively complete all required jobresponsibilities. o Proactively maintains the skills required toperform job duties. o Mentors, monitors and models the CareerSuccess Standards as required by the PRH. o Provides high-qualitysupervision and management for the student population. Takes swiftand appropriate action and positively influences student behavior.
Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds them accountablefor their actions and behavior. o Provides quality programs andservices for students and ensures that quality is maintained andstudent needs are met. o Exchanges ideas and information, bothorally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner andcontributes meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevantideas and knowledge. o Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas.
Identifies problems, analyzes causes and evaluates appropriatesolutions prior to taking or recommending actions. Follows up toensure prompt/appropriate action is taken and that problems are infact corrected. o Works in partnership with staff from allDepartments to ensure effective supervision and services areprovided to students. o Accepts direction and supervision from theCenter Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager to includeassignments to temporarily perform job responsibilities of otherdepartments and positions. o Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Academic Substitute Instructors:
Bachelor’s degreefrom an accredited school required. A valid instate teachingcertificate preferred. Previous teaching or Job Corps experiencepreferred.
Career Technical Training Substitute Instructors:
Aminimum of one-year experience in teaching or related fieldrequired. Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state in whichthe center is located, or is accredited by a professional tradeorganization. Previous Job Corps experience preferred “Adams andAssociates, Inc. abides by the requirements of 41 CFR §§60-300.5(a) and 60-741.5(a).
