Job Description
Elementary Teacher
- Second Grade Long Term Sub Aug-Dec 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Townsend, MA 01469 Classroom Teacher Long Term Substitute Position August 20 through December 23rd
- DESE certified elementary or early childhood teacher
- Familiarity with various literacy programs and approaches, Fundations, various curricula programs and approaches, in particular Expeditionary Learning and Illustrative Math, iReady, IXL and Massachusetts Standards
- Ability to lead and manage a classroom for approximately four months
- Familiarity with Social Emotional Learning and methods such as Social Thinking, Collaborative Problem Solving, Zones of Regulation, Growth Mindset and Mindfulness
- Ability to assess students using a variety of assessment tools and to use the results of assessments to drive instruction
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, administration and families-Willing to communicate student progress and needs to school administration, parents and other colleagues.
