Job Description
Saint Theresa of Avila School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher. This is a long term substitute teaching position. We are looking for a creative, hard-working individual who enjoys educating young minds!

Responsibilities:

• Create and administer lesson plans that guide students through daily learning activities
• Oversee the classroom, keep it organized, and enforce rules to teach children proper behavior
• Ensure high student performance by grading assignments, monitoring progress, and preparing students for standardized tests
• Work with students individually to help them overcome learning challenges
• Communicate with parents or guardians about their child’s progress, and confer with other teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve issues
• Collaborate with teachers and administration to create innovative lesson plans, discuss concerns about student achievement or behavior, determine student progress and challenges, and offer support and encouragement
