Substitute Teacher Shiloh Church of Concord Childrens Center Concord, NC 28027 Shiloh Church of Concord Children’s Center is a mission of Shiloh Church of Concord. Our mission is to provide a safe, loving, educational and Christian environment for infants to school-age children. Our children’s center offers a full day program with a blended mix of teacher directed learning and child-initiated play. We are passionate about children and committed to providing children with the structure and skills they need to prepare them for their journey to kindergarten and beyond. The substitute position is a 4 day 10 hour shift schedule. Hours vary daily depending on the class you are substituting in. These shifts are 6:30-4:30, 7:00 – 5:00 and 7:30-5:30.
Job Description:
Substitute in each classroom on the teacher’s day off. Directs classroom activities and maintains appropriate discipline by redirecting and modeling. Encourages all children to participate fully in activities at all levels of interest and ability. Supports the development of relationships between children and their families. Prepare classroom materials to support developmentally appropriate curriculum plans; create and change learning centers as needed. Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all the center’s standards. Communicate directly with parents and prospective parents to achieve success for the child. Maintain a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organized. Demonstrate a professional commitment to adhere to the center’s philosophy and educational objectives while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude Keeping classroom clean and organized. End of day cleaning such as wiping down tables, chairs, counters and sink. Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping. Sanitizing toys and taking out trash.
Job Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age High School diploma or equivalent Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans Must be willing to submit a NCDHHS background check Comply with all new hire training and/or on-going training.
