Job Summary:
Carter G. Woodson School is looking for dedicated, subject-matter experts to teach high school students (grades 9-12) for the 2025-2026 school year. We seek educators who are committed to preparing students for college, careers, and lifelong success.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement challenging, standards-aligned lessons in core academic subjects (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies) or electives. Use real-world applications and technology to enhance student learning. Track student progress through assessments, projects, and portfolio-based evaluations. Foster a growth mindset and college/career readiness in all students. Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development starting August 1, 2025.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a specific subject area. NC teaching license is highly recommended, but not required. Strong instructional skills and ability to differentiate learning. Passion for student success and academic growth.
