Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Secondary English Teacher to join our Bridges program. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to helping students achieve academic success and personal growth. This position requires a creative and flexible approach to teaching, with a focus on individualized instruction and student engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging English curriculum tailored to the needs of alternative education students.
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and learning.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to student education.
Utilize various teaching methods and technologies to enhance learning experiences.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
New York State teaching certification in 7-12 English.
Experience working with alternative education students is highly desirable.

Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs.
