Job Description
The district has a vacancy for Permanent Building Substitute Teachers at the elementary schools and middle school for the 2025-2026 school year. In an effort to accommodate for the lack of substitute teachers available, the district and Faculty Association agree that there is a need to create a full time per diem substitute position in each of the elementary schools.
The South Glens Falls School District has the ability to create a “Full Time Per Diem Substitute” position to provide substitute coverage, on an as needed basis. A full-time per diem substitute will be hired for a full year. This position will not provide coverage for long-term vacancies. This position is not in the SGFFA bargaining unit. Pay is Step 1 BA per diem for each day worked.
Qualifications:
NYS Certification is required.
