Successful candidates must be progressive minded, and embody a can-do spirit and work ethic. For best consideration, candidates should possess relevant teaching experience, a demonstrated track record of success in developing and implementing strategies to meet the needs of students with a variety of learning needs, and a “whatever it takes” attitude to ensure that all students succeed at a high level.

OVERVIEW ECS
substitute teachers must have strong teaching abilities, an understanding of pedagogy and instructional practices in their respective field of education, and a strong interest in environmental studies. ECS teachers work in a highly collaborate environment making deep connections with students. Candidates should be energetic and progressive minded, with a willingness to work collaboratively with grade level and specialist teams. Educational Background and Work Experience Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution PA teacher certification. Out-of-state certification must be approved by the PA Dept. of Education Familiarity with charter schools and middle grade levels. Compensation and Benefits Salary of $36,758 plus participation in a comprehensive benefits plan including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-, and long-term disability insurance, paid time off, and participation in a generous 403b retirement plan.
