Our substitutes work throughout Montgomery County in our Early Childhood and Student Services Special Education Classes. Due to the unique needs of our classrooms, certified educators will initially be placed in 
• Substitute Teacher Assistant
• assignments. This allows us to assess placement and ensure the best fit before assigning them to any Substitute Teacher roles. We appreciate your flexibility and commitment to our students!

• Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Special Education N-12 (new cert Special Education PK-8)

• Day-to-Day Certified Substitute Teacher

• $160/day
• Day-to-Day Certified Substitute Teacher
• (Over 20 days

• Includes Head Start & Pre-K Counts teachers
• MCIU Retiree Certified Substitute Teachers will receive $20 additional per day
