The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing a positive learning environment for students in the absence of their regular teacher. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to manage classroom behavior, and a passion for educating young minds. The Substitute Teacher will engage students in meaningful learning experiences and ensure that lesson plans are executed effectively. Duties Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of education. Maintain a safe and productive classroom environment that fosters student engagement. Manage classroom behavior effectively to promote respect and cooperation among students. Communicate clearly with students, staff, and parents regarding classroom activities and student progress. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with autism or other special needs. Assist in the development of lesson plans that align with educational standards and objectives. Provide support in various subjects, including math, while encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other activities as required. Skills Strong understanding of childhood development principles and effective teaching strategies. Proficient in classroom management techniques to maintain an orderly learning environment. Ability to educate students across various subjects with a focus on math proficiency. Experience in lesson planning that caters to different learning styles and abilities. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Experience working with children with autism or similar developmental challenges is a plus.
