Preschool Teacher’s Assistant Sonshine Preschool & Playschool – First United Methodist Church Cullman, AL 35055 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher’s Assistant to support classroom activities and assist in the overall development of students. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a positive learning environment, helping with classroom organization, and ensuring the welfare of all children. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about education and child development. Duties Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities. Support students in their learning, including providing one-on-one assistance as needed. Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Monitor student behavior and implement behavior management strategies as necessary. Assist with childcare duties during breaks or transitions, ensuring child welfare at all times. Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and other staff members regarding student progress. Experience Previous experience in early childhood education, daycare, or as a Teacher’s Aide is preferred but not required Knowledge of child welfare practices and behavior management techniques is beneficial. Experience working in a classroom setting is helpful. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential.
