OverviewZen Educate is hiring part-time Special EducationParaprofessionals to support K-12 special education students. Inthis role, you’ll work alongside licensed teachers—providingone-on-one or small group support with academic modifications,self-care, and social/behavioral needs. KeyResponsibilities Assist licensed staff in implementing academic adaptations andindividualized education plans (IEPs). Work individually or in small groups to support students’self-care and social/behavioral needs. Help maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment conduciveto learning. Provide timely support to students in crisis situations. Utilize various learning methods to tailor support to eachstudent’s needs.
Must-Have Qualifications Education:
60 college credits or higher, OR one of the following: A passing score on the Paraeducator Assessment (65%+ on theInstructional Support test and 70%+ on the Knowledge andApplication test) A passing score on the Paraprofessional Assessment (combinedscore of 460 or above)
Language & Authorization:
Professional proficiency in English U.S. Work Authorization (no visa sponsorship or relocationassistance)
Experience:
At least 1-year experience working with children in anystructured setting (e.g., school, daycare, volunteerprogram)Preferred Qualifications ParaPro Certification (upskilling options provided on acase-by-case basis for candidates without the standard educationalbackground) Experience working in special education settings or familiaritywith IEPs Experience as a Behavioral Technician or PCA is aplus
Compensation & Benefits Pay:
$18 – $22 per hour, paid weekly
Schedule:
Part-time, flexible schedule between 7:30 am and3:00/4:30 pm (Monday to Friday, no weekend work)
