Position Overview:
The Clarksville School District is seeking a reliable, student-focused Resource Paraprofessional to join our Special Education team. This individual will assist students with academic needs in a variety of settings, including the resource classroom, general education classrooms, and small-group instruction. The ideal candidate is a team player with a passion for supporting student learning and success.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the implementation of instructional plans as directed by the special education teacher.
Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
Assist with classroom organization, preparation of instructional materials, and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Monitor student progress and behavior during academic activities.
Provide support and supervision in general education settings, ensuring students receive appropriate accommodations and modifications.
Maintain accurate records and documentation as directed.
Communicate effectively with students and staff, maintaining a professional and supportive demeanor.
Maintain student confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or 60 college hours preferred.
Experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred.
Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to helping all students succeed academically.
