Job Details We’re looking for an associate with aminimum of two years of trusts and estates experience to join ourhighly respected Private Client team. This position can be locatedin any of our Connecticut offices for a candidate who bring theright mix of experience and enthusiasm. This role is especiallywell-suited for someone with a solid foundation in estate planningand administration who also has a strong interest in special needsplanning and is eager to grow that aspect of their practice.
KeyResponsibilities:
Provide counsel on trust and estate planning andadministration, including document drafting and fiduciary guidance.
Support planning for clients with special needs, including specialneeds trusts and related issues (prior experience is a plus, butnot required). Advise on personal planning matters such as lifetimegiving, retirement asset strategies, charitable planning, andfamily wealth transfer. Address tax-related elements of estateplans, including state and federal estate and income tax matters.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on matters involvingclosely held businesses, fiduciary litigation, and tax-exemptorganizations.
What We’re Looking For:
At least 2 years of trustsand estates planning and administration experience. A stronginterest in developing a practice that includes special needsplanning. Excellent writing, speaking, and interpersonal skills.
Strong technical capabilities and attention to detail. Ateam-focused professional who thrives in a collaborativeenvironment. Creative, proactive problem solver with a commitmentto client service.
