Assistant Pre-K Teacher Guilford Kindercare Learning Center 1445 Boston Post Road, Guilford, CT 06437 Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PreKindergarten Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children and a strong commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes early childhood development. This role involves planning and implementing engaging lesson plans that support literacy education, social skills, and overall growth for preschool-aged children. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy, creativity, and critical thinking. Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all students. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a collaborative learning atmosphere. Monitor children’s progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs. Provide care for toddlers and preschoolers, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience for all students. Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education. Skills Experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential. Strong background in literacy education and lesson planning. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff. Ability to work collaboratively with individuals of diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities. Knowledge of toddler care practices and developmental milestones. Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for educating young learners.
