This role includes working in various classrooms to cover lunch breaks, planning time, and serving as a substitute when needed. This position offers room for growth and could lead to a Lead Teacher role for the right candidate who demonstrates initiative, collaboration, and a passion for early childhood education.
Responsibilities include:
Supervise children at all times Foster positive relations with parents and students Extend excellent customer service to parents Communicate with Lead Teacher daily and take initiative to assist in anyway necessary Change diapers when needed, potty training and bathroom duty as needed Assist children with snacks Maintain a loving and nurturing attitude while in a child’s presence Maintain flexibility- able to fill in in any classroom when needed Attend monthly faculty meetings Be a positive role model to all children and parents Complete toy cleansing routine each day, help maintain a clean, and organized classroom. Be respectful to all staff Other duties as needed Job requirements: Must complete the required 45 hours of DCF training within the DCF timeline Must be able to twist, bend and squat. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
