Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and supportive Teaching Assistant to join our private school community. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a passion for education. This role is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and nurturing environment, assisting students with special needs and supporting the development of a diverse range of skills.
Duties:
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of each student.
- Support students with special needs, including those with autism, in the classroom and during small group instruction.
- Utilize Montessori and special education methods to help students develop math and other essential skills.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement individualized curricula and lesson plans.
- Provide one-on-one support and guidance to students as needed.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring that all students feel supported and valued.
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to ensure that everyone is informed and involved in the learning process.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs.
- Experience in a private school or educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Experience with Montessori and special education methods.
- A passion for education and a commitment to helping students grow and learn.
- A willingness to continuously develop skills and knowledge.
