What you will be doing: This position requires a passion for education and a genuine love of working with children in early childhood ages. The Teacher Assistant must have an open mind to understand and implement strategies that use thinking as a methodological tool, among others. Assist the Lead Teacher in activities that include but are not limited to curriculum instruction, implementation of developmental activities, specialized programs, lesson planning, etc. according to the age group assigned. Help the Lead Teacher in the documentation of activities and record-keeping of the developmental progress of the children. She/he will maintain open communication with the parents of the children ensuring proper customer service while addressing the families’ needs. Work together with the Lead Teacher to ensure proper group behavior, classroom management, and facilitation of all learning activities throughout the day. Help the Lead Teacher in classroom management which includes, but is not limited to, cleanliness and orderliness of the classroom, art, toys and other supplies management, diaper and potty duties, nurturing care, hygiene, learning, and caring for the children under his/her care with the support of the lead teacher. You will have the support and guidance of the Lead Teacher, School Director, Assistant Director, and a team of Lead Teachers and Teacher Assistants from our Network of educators belonging to our other South Florida locations, and including educators from an international network of schools who collaborate with each other to share experiences in the implementation of our unique teaching methodology.
