Production Manager Job Description SUMMARY The Arc Gateway serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our adult day training program located in Pensacola helps program participants to learn a variety of daily living skills that are necessary in the home and workplace while encouraging community inclusion. This program assistant position will be responsible for supervising and supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities and provide training and assistance with acquisition, retention, or improvement in self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assure the safety & well-being of participants; provide assistance with toileting & mobility, as needed.
Supervise assigned persons and provide training needed to address individual goals. Follow training and activity schedules; promote independence in areas such as daily living, socialization, and self-care.
Support participants as needed modeling appropriate social behavior.
Accompany program participants on community outings.
Respond promptly to participant needs and report any unusual occurrences and observations to the Program Manager.
Prepare documentation as required, including (but not limited to) attendance records, daily service log, incident reports.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the activity area. Demonstrate an attitude of cooperation and professionalism with families, co-workers, volunteers and the staff of the various organizations that interact with the program.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE
Experience working with people with I/DD preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos required along with the ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to persons served, caregivers and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to follow directions in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to make independent decisions based on agency policy, and to seek clarification as needed.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must be able to pass Level II background screening, Affidavit of Good Moral Character and drug screening. Maintain CPR/First Aid certification, HIV/AIDS and Infection Control education, Zero Tolerance and HIPAA training. Must have valid driver’s license, with satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report. Require vehicle registration and proof of insurance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee is regularly required to talk, hear and see. Physical activities include bending, standing, reaching, sitting, using hands, pushing an individual in wheelchair. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and /or move more than 100 pounds and be able to walk the equivalent of 2 blocks.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
