Bowman Academy is located in the Carrollwood area and has been serving children for over 50 years. Bowman Academy is a private, independent preschool for children 2 through 5 years of age. Its purpose is to provide a strong academic foundation within a safe, nurturing environment in which students achieve their highest potential.

Job Description:

This position is for an Assistant Teacher to work Monday-Friday from 8:15am-1:00pm with the possibility of additional hours if desired. The position requires interacting with children while providing a positive, safe and inclusive environment. Candidate must be comfortable with diapering, engaging with students during outside and inside play, and adhere to all school rules and regulations. The applicant would work directly with a classroom lead teacher and another school staff.

Requirements:

• Candidate must complete and pass a Level II Background Screening through the Department of Children and Families. (Bowman will reimburse, if hired)
• Must meet all requirements stipulated by The Department of Children and Families regulations. This includes 45-hour DCF training (online modules available). Candidate has 30 days from start of employment to begin trainings and must complete series within one-year. (Bowman will pay costs of modules and assessments)
• Must hold/obtain CPR and First Aid Certification. (Bowman will pay cost)
• Early Childhood experience preferred
• Pleasant/friendly demeanor and outgoing personality required
• Highly dependable and professional
