The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young learners, particularly those with special needs, and will assist in implementing educational programs that foster childhood development and literacy education. Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher in daily classroom activities and lesson planning. Support children with autism and other special education needs, ensuring they receive appropriate guidance and encouragement. Help implement curriculum development strategies that promote engagement and learning. Facilitate small group activities focused on literacy education and childhood development. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster a collaborative learning environment. Maintain a safe and organized classroom setting conducive to learning. Observe and document student progress, providing feedback to the lead teacher as needed. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to childcare and education. Qualifications Experience working with children in a preschool or childcare setting is preferred. Knowledge of special education practices, particularly in working with children on the autism spectrum. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. Understanding of childhood development principles and curriculum development strategies. Ability to assist in lesson planning that meets the diverse needs of students. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help children learn and grow. Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is a plus but not required.
