The ideal candidate will have a passion for martial arts and education, with experience in managing programs that engage students in activities such as taekwondo, physical fitness, nutrition, philosophy, flexibility, and more. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to work collaboratively with students and staff, and a commitment to fostering a positive environment for learning and growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Teach and inspire students of all ages and skill levels, helping them to develop their martial arts skills while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Conduct engaging classes that promote physical fitness, self-discipline, and the core values of United Martial Arts Center.
  • Lead student classes in small and large group settings.
  • Design and deliver engaging lessons while following our proprietary curriculum.
  • Create lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation, growth, and success.
  • Track and assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Build confidence and respect through martial arts training, while implementing effective behavior management strategies to maintain a focused and encouraging atmosphere.
  • Supervising students during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Maintain efficient, clean, and orderly practice areas.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and achievements.
  • Engage with parents and guardians regarding their child’s progress and development.
  • Participate in school events and community outreach activities.
  • Assist in youth specialty program operations, including after school programs, camps, and special events
  • Obtain and present information for online and digital marketing using the various, available platforms.
  • Create and implement effective marketing strategies to lend to the growth and success of United Martial Arts Center.
Qualifications:
  • Must possess a minimum of a four year degree in Taekwondo, or a related field, from an accredited university.
  • Must possess the rank of 5th Dan Master Instructor with Kukkiwon Certification
  • Must have a minimum of one year teaching and/or coaching experience
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate proper techniques and skills in Taekwondo poomsae
  • Must have experience with the structure and management of seasonal camps
  • Must have the ability to effectively and efficiently communicate in Korean while possessing a minimum of an intermediate knowledge of English
  • Must possess excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Must have experience in teaching large and small groups of children and/or adults in a Martial Arts setting
  • Must have patience and flexibility in adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
  • Must have the ability to create a positive learning atmosphere that encourages personal growth
  • Must be highly motivated and have the ability to work independently or as part of a team along with strong organizational skills to assist with lesson planning and preparation.
