Bilingual Teacher Assistant Bottega Child Development Center-Reggio Emilia Philosophy Inspired School 5911 Bird Rd, Miami, FL 33155 Job Description Teacher-Assistant – Reggio Emilia Approach We are looking for a Teacher Assistant. A preschool teacher must have a great love and patience for children. The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the child so they can more easily acclimate in the next level of education. Responsibilities Help the lead teacher in the classroom. Employ a variety of educational techniques such as storytelling, support social emotional development, play with children. Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments Organize nap and snack/lunch and supervise children to ensure they are always safe and nurtured. Collaborate with other educators Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards Skills A nurturing, passionate, committed teacher with an open disposition to learn. Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms. Excellent communication and instructional skills Ability to act as mediator between children. Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable Balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen.
DCF Credentials:
45 hours, 10 to 30 Hours of In-service/year Completed & Tested! Requirement before first day of employment. Certification in child CPR/First Aid.
