Number of Open Positions:

1 to 3 , depending on how many shifts each person is available. Some staff only work two to three shifts per week, while others work all five shifts, so there is flexibility.

Job Description:

This position can be a year-round position. We have three different aspects to this program. 1. Afternoons (August-May): Our afternoons program is a private church based afterschool program that serves Audubon Park School’s K-5 students. We currently have 40-45 kids each day. We strive for a 1:10 ratio, therefore, we need four to five workers per day. Possible shifts include Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 2:30 pm to 5:30 or 6:00 pm and Wednesday 1:30pm to 5:30 or 6:00pm 2. Camp Days (During School Year when OCPS is closed): Our program also opens most days when OCPS closes for teacher workdays and holidays. During camp days, there is a daily limit of 30-35 kids and two shifts of two-three staff per day. Shifts are 8:00 am to 1:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm and 10:00-3:00pm. These times are also flexible and OCPS camp days employees sign up in advance if they would like to work. 3. Summer Camp (June, July, Early August): During the summer we have 9-10 weekly themed camps with Friday Fun Days; Pizza, Water day/play and a movie. There is a daily limit of 30-35 kids with two shifts of two-three staff per day. Shifts are 8:00 am to 1:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Depending on the activity schedule, there may be a third shift scheduled for 10:00 am to 3:00 pm or 4:00 pm to give an extra hand during the themed activities. Employees sign up in advance to work the weeks they are available. You must enjoy working with kids! Previous experience working with young children Preschool-5th grade is a plus!

IMPORTANT

Level 2 background fingerprinting is required. We will provide paperwork for you to take to get your fingerprints.
