As a Teacher Aide, you’ll assist classroomteachers by supporting students who need additional help to reachtheir full potential. You’ll provide both academic and behavioralsupport within the classroom environment, helping maintain apositive and structured setting for all learners.
KeyResponsibilities
- Assist licensed staff in the classroom by helpingimplement academic adaptations and individualized education plans(IEPs)
- Work with students individually or in small groups tosupport their self-care and social/behavioral needs
- Maintain aclassroom environment that is safe and conducive to learning
- Provide timely support for students in crisis situations
- Utilizea variety of learning methods to enhance student engagement andlearning outcomes.
Must-Have QualificationsEducation
- 60 collegecredits or higher, OR one of the following
- A passing score onthe Paraeducator Assessment (65% or higher on the InstructionalSupport test and 70% or higher on the Knowledge and Applicationtest
- A passing score on the Paraprofessional Assessment(combined score of 460 or above)Language & Authorization
- Professional proficiency in English
- U.S. Work Authorization (ZenEducate cannot provide sponsorship for an employment visa orrelocation assistance).Experience
- Prior experience working withchildren in a structured setting is an asset.
PreferredQualifications
- ParaPro Certification (upskilling options providedon a case-by-case basis for candidates without the standardeducational background
- Behavioral Technician or PCA experienceworking with children is an asset
- Past work experience in aschool setting with children with special needs is anasset.
Compensation & BenefitsPay:
$18
- $21 per hour, paidweekly.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, within hours of 7:30 am
- 3:00/4:30 pm (no weekend work).Benefits
