This full-time position is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to working with young children, supporting their growth, and fostering a loving, respectful, and engaging learning environment for children from birth through Pre-K. As an Assistant Preschool Teacher, you will work alongside Lead Teachers to provide hands-on education that promotes emotional, social, and cognitive development in young learners. This position offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children while being part of a dynamic and supportive team.
Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing lesson plans that are engaging, developmentally appropriate, and fun for children ages birth to Pre-K. Support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and fellow staff members. Help supervise and ensure the safety of children during classroom activities, outdoor play, and other school events. Provide individual and group support to children as needed, encouraging their social, emotional, and academic growth. Help maintain an organized, clean, and safe classroom setting. Communicate with Lead Teachers and parents about children’s progress and needs. Assist in preparing materials and classroom resources to enhance learning. Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is a plus. State of Florida Introductory 45-hour course. Experience working with preschool-aged children (birth – Pre-K) in a classroom or preschool setting preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. A passion for working with young children and fostering their growth and development. Ability to maintain a positive, respectful, and caring attitude towards children. Must meet state-required background checks and health screenings.
