$30,000 to $42,000 per year About Us Roots and Wings is a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to improving children’s reading skills and supporting the teachers who inspire learning. We are seeking a Program Assistant to support and manage the daily operations of our programs and play a key role in ensuring organizational efficiency and program success. Key Responsibilities Program & Operations Support Coordinate logistics for Project UpLift and the Above and Beyond Awards Track program outcomes, gather and organize data, and assist with reporting Maintain communication with school personnel and stakeholders Ensure compliance with internal policies and external reporting requirements Organize and maintain both digital and physical records Financial & Data Management Maintain and update program funding records, including tracking of funds Analyze and report data with a high degree of accuracy Ensure strict confidentiality of all data Software & Tools Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Calendly Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in a nonprofit setting Minimum 2 years of program support experience, preferably in a nonprofit or education-related organization Excellent organizational and time-management skills, as well as attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication across diverse audiences Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Passion for advancing children’s literacy and celebrating educators Preferred Skills Familiarity with educational programs or student-focused initiatives Creative problem-solving skills Experience with small-scale event logistics Ability to enthusiastically represent Roots and Wings and its mission What We Offer A collaborative, mission-focused team culture Paid time off Medical, dental, and vision insurance The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children’s literacy and honor educators To Apply Please send your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your interest and qualifications to karyn@rootsandwingsinc.org.
