PROGRAM ASSISTANT OVERVIEW
The Program Assistant is responsible for providing coordination of all the Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization programs, educational workshops, classes, social events, and community activities and for supporting operations. Bi-Lingual in Spanish and English preferred. The position reports to the Executive Director. This is a full-time position
JOB DUTIES
Assist with the Implementation of programs, classes, workshops, social events, outreach activities Attend programs, classes, workshops, social events, outreach activities etc. as needed Assist with the development of new programs, classes, workshops, social events, outreach activities etc. Assist with maintaining contact with all participants and recruiting potential participants Assist with support to Spanish-speaking participants (if Spanish speaking) Assist with billing records, membership and attendance records, track and record payments, and other record keeping duties related to programs, classes, workshops, social events, outreach activities etc. Assist with maintaining and recording program, class, workshops, social events, and outreach activities outcomes as required Assist with disseminating program, workshop, class, social activity and outreach information through emails, newsletters, social media, website, phone calls etc. Supervise volunteers for programs and activities Assist with program materials and inventory and ordering supplies for programs, classes, workshops, social events, outreach activities etc. Assist with general administrative and office functions Other duties as required
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree preferred Fluency in Spanish preferred Excellent organizational and administrative skills Excellent intrapersonal and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively and productively with staff and volunteers Ability to work some weekends and evenings as required Ability to work in a small non-profit environment with multiple projects going on simultaneously Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and online marketing and online platforms Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle to use for work-related transportation
