• Cathedral School of St.

Jude (2025-2026) The Cathedral School of St. Jude in St. Petersburg is seeking a qualified Afterschool Assistant for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a permanent, part-time position, Monday through Friday from 2:30-6:00 PM, not to exceed 29 hours per week. The assistant will work with Early Childhood and Kindergarten students.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage children ages 2-5 in age-appropriate activities
• Provide a safe, nurturing, and structured environment
• Support social, emotional, and developmental growth through play and guided instruction
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff
• Follow all school and state safety procedures

Requirements:

• Completion or progress toward DCF’s 40 clock hours and 5 hours of literacy training

• Required Diocesan Safe environment and related classes.
• Level II background screening clearance; required DCF and Diocesan fingerprints.
• Ability to follow guidance from administration and work well with others Pay is based on education and experience.
