The ideal candidate will have experience working with students, particularly in early childhood education settings, and will be passionate about educating and nurturing young minds. This role involves assisting teachers in implementing curriculum, managing classroom behavior, and providing individualized support to students. Duties Assist VPK lead teachers in the delivery of engaging lessons and activities that align with the curriculum. Support students in their learning by providing one-on-one assistance and encouragement. Help manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies. Collaborate with teachers to develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with autism or other special needs. Provide care for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting their developmental milestones. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster a supportive educational community. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in Montessori methods and early childhood education practices. Qualifications Experience working with students in an educational or childcare setting is preferred. Knowledge of DCF principles is a plus Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Background in early childhood education or related fields is desirable. Ability to develop engaging curriculum materials that cater to various learning styles.
