Job Description
VPK Assistant 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars Oviedo, FL First Years Preschool is seeking assistant applicants for the Monday-Thursday/or Monday-Friday VPK class. This assistant will be responsible for working with 4-year-old children. They must be a spiritually committed believer possessing active Christian traits and values and possess a high school diploma. Experience working with children in a childcare setting is preferred.
Job duties include the following:
Assist teaching staff with instructional tasks. Assist students individually or in groups to present or reinforce learning concepts. Provide guidance and supervision for children in conjunction with teachers or independently in the classroom or on school grounds. Greet children and parents upon their arrival and departure from school. Assist in the daily general cleanup of activity areas. Carry out discipline in a productive, Christian manner according to documented procedures. Attending monthly staff meetings and other called meetings to coordinate program activities. Continue professional development through attendance at in-service training programs.
