Middle School Support Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional and classroom support to the teacher and students during lessons, small groups, and independent work time.
- Assist with the preparation and organization of instructional materials.
- Offer one-on-one or small group academic support to students as directed by the teacher.
- Help implement accommodations and modifications for students as needed
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and safe classroom culture.
- Support students with behavioral or emotional needs in a positive and professional manner.
- Supervise students during non-instructional times such as lunch, recess, or transitions as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all student interactions.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, specialists, and other support staff.
- Responsible for being conscious of and protecting the health, safety, and welfare of all students with a wide range of needs
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma
- Must have reliable transportation
