This position involves adherence with licensure standards as set by The State, local and schools governing body. The position requires you to work closely with teachers and leadership to maintain a clean, safe, healthy environment within the school and to ensure the well-being of children and staff. Duties Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities. Care and respect of animals and pets that are on the campus. Maintain bathrooms and common areas Maintain and support a clean non-contagious environment Support diapering practices Help facilitate and encourage positive interactions with children and families. Inspect equipment and toys to ensure there safe and good repair. Assist with on and off campus field trips. Complete required CPR and First Aid as required. Assist with Food service and nutrition Maintain professional and comfortable dress code. Ensure practices are within the guidelines of operational policies and procedures Ensure Playground safety Provided requested documents to keep employee files up to date Make every effort to become familiar with parents and those who have welcomed access Provide support for children with varying abilities ensuring an inclusive environment Support classroom events and activities. Maintain clean and organized spaces. Monitor access points and visitors on campus. Keep inventory of consumable materials and cleaning supplies. Provide light maintenance for equipment and play areas (e.g. tightening screws, deep cleaning vacuums, pulling weeds, etc.), sweep out entrance Clean entrance windows and doors Maintain a welcoming and warm environment Requirements Experience working with children in an educational or daycare setting is preferred but not required. • Satisfactory Fingerprint Records Check Determination• Knowledge of classroom management strategies appropriate for early education. Ability to work effectively with all students including those with varying abilities. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for education and commitment to student success. Maintain good attendance and timely arrival. Maintain professional relationships with faculty and clientele. Take ownership of your workspace with no task being beneath you. Provide basic needs for children including support with meal and snacks. Willing to support children during diapering and toileting. Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents. Support classroom activities including lessons, play, breaks and meals, Maintain a clean and tidy center – preschool, academy and back shared spaces, Collaborate with others to support lesson plans, Encourage children to interact with each other to develop social skills, Provide appropriate supervision for children at all times, Maintain inventory system for classroom materials and supplies, Adhere to health/safety and sanitation procedures. Be able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, and sit at child’s level. This role is essential for creating an enriching educational environment where all students can thrive.
