Kumon Center Assistant – Math & Reading Support Kumon of Woodstock Northeast 5947 Holly Springs Parkway, Woodstock, GA 30188 Job Summary The Kumon Center Assistant plays a vital role in supporting students within an educational setting. This position involves working closely with students, staff, and parents to ensure a safe environment conducive to learning. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for working with children, particularly in early and primary childhood education settings. Responsibilities Provide support to students and parents to ensure their individual goals are met and exceeded. Maintain Kumon records of student progress, including grading and enforcing planned lessons. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student growth and development within the Kumon program. Monitor classroom environments to ensure compliance with Kumon process. Support classroom management by facilitating a positive learning environment for all students. Requirements Experience working with students in an educational or childcare setting is preferred. Knowledge of education practices and experience with children who have diverse needs is highly desirable. Strong background in early childhood education, primary school, middle school and preschool settings is beneficial. Familiarity with curriculum development related to Math and Reading is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff. Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while promoting a supportive learning atmosphere. A commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
