Overall Purpose The of 21st CCLC Program Aide Volunteer is done for the purpose/s of supporting 21st CCLC students in a nurturing environment, asssiting with homework help and enrichment activities. Volunteers will be required to complete a Federal background check and fingerprinting. Payment is made by the volunteer and reimbursed by 21st CCLC. Direct Supervisor Building Principal Essential Functions
Supports instruction and supervision for assigned students.
Supervise and engage students.
Models appropriate behavior.
Monitor’s for student safety by recognizing potentially dangerous situations.
Maintains a pleasant and professional attitude with staff, students, and parents.
Assist staff with setting up and cleaning up activities.
Respects the cultures and values of families in the program.
Marginal Functions
Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

Required to perform multiple tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the include: operating standard office equipment including pertinent software applications; preparing and maintaining accurate records; adhering to safety practices and procedures; and promoting activities and/or events.
Knowledge-based Competencies
Required to perform basic math; read a variety of manuals, write documents following prescribed formats, and/or present information to others; and understand complex, multi-step written and oral instructions. Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent Physical Requirements The usual and customary methods of performing the ‘s functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the requires 20% sitting, 40% walking, and 40% standing.
