REPORTS TO

Director and/or Head Teacher and/or Classroom Teacher

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Provide Support to the Teaching Team to ensure a safe and consistent youth development environment.

KEY ROLES

(Essential Job Responsibilities): Report to Director or Head Teacher upon arrival for daily assignment Work as a team member to meet the needs of the children classroom and center as a whole Meet the emotional, social, physical and cognitive needs of each child Maintain confidentiality Report any suspect abuse to supervisor Clean and arrange classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy Maintain a safe and healthy environment Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials Attend in-service and staff meetings Meet all applicable licensing regulations Daily assignments may include coverage for other staff during breaks and planning time, clean toys and educational materials, assisting students with potty training, assist with preparing lunch/snack, clean common areas such as bathrooms, kitchen, break room and outdoor play areas, remove garbage, inventory supplies, organize art and supplies cabinets.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
