QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED certificate. Demonstrated aptitude for work to be performed. Have at least two years of college (60 semester hours or 100 quarter hours or Earned an associate degree or Passed the State approved paraprofessional exam.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prompt and regular attendance. Assists media specialist with order and process new library resources. Prepares bulletin boards. Helps students locate appropriate library resources Assists media specialist with teaching students how to effectively use the library Assists media specialist with shelving books and other library materials. Sets up and runs multi-media equipment (i.e.: filmstrips, film projectors, video recorders or other audio-visual equipment. Secures books or other instructional materials from the school library under the direction of the media specialist. Assists in supervising pupils before, during, and after school Performs such other assignments and duties as assigned by the supervisor and Superintendent of Schools.
