Job Description
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Associates degree, two years of college credit (a minimum of 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours and a 2.0 GPA), or passing score on the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment Test
Must maintain Georgia Paraprofessional Certificate which includes in-service related to position
Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities
REPORTS TO
Principal
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
Participates in school functions, field trips and extracurricular activities as indicated.
Participates in on-going professional learning training.
Assists with hall duty and bus loading and unloading as directed.
Shows initiative and assumes responsibility for all aspects of job responsibilities.
Performs routine duties and tasks with little or no direct supervision.
Provides adequate supervision of students at all times.
Conducts small-group and individual instruction according to supervising teacher’s lesson plans.
Prepares instructional materials according to supervising teachers lesson plans.
Demonstrates appropriate communication skills as applicable for the job.
Acts in a professional manner and maintains a professional attitude towards the public and colleagues and exhibits the fundamentals of good public/customer service
Complies with school, system, state, and federal regulations and policies, including the PSC Code of Ethics, as related to job requirements
Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
180-day position.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the principal or designee.
