Must be reliable, loving and caring and willing to follow day school rules and regulations. Position starts on August 5, 2025. Must acquire 10 hours of on the job training each year, be CPR certified and also acquire a 15 hour Health and Safety mandatory class within 30 days of hiring. Job hours are 8:30-1:30 Monday-Friday. We follow the MCSD calendar closely with a few extra days off as well. Our program is fast paced and we are NOT a daycare. We are a Day School and teaching starts as early as 6 weeks of age. Employees are paid monthly during the months of August-May. There are summer camps where pay can be made during June & July. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support educators in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students, particularly those with developmental disabilities, and possess a strong understanding of childhood development principles. Responsibilities Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and adapting instructional materials to meet the diverse needs of students. Support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) by providing tailored assistance and encouragement. Foster a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes learning, respect, and collaboration among students. Work closely with students who have autism or other developmental disabilities to facilitate their engagement in classroom activities. Help manage classroom behavior and implement strategies to support positive interactions among peers. Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress and contribute to the development of effective teaching strategies. Participate in training sessions related to Montessori methods and other educational frameworks as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning. Requirements Experience working with students, particularly those with developmental disabilities or autism. Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. Familiarity with IEPs and the ability to implement individualized strategies for student success. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents. Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to various learning styles. A passion for education and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
