Adjunct Medical Assistant Instructor- Piedmont Only Qualifications Education:
• Certified Phlebotomist, Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and/or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Professional:
2-3 years of work experience as a Phlebotomist, Certified Phlebotomist, Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and/or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Experience:
Comfortable with teaching in classroom and on a distance learning platform Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, and some weekend assignments Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e Microsoft Office suite) Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively. Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
Primary Responsibilities and Dutie s:
Provide classroom, lab and/or clinical instruction based on school and program policies. Work independent and collaboratively with other instructors in development of course schedule, syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional material for each assigned course. Initiate and maintain all programmatic accreditation standards Demonstrate exceptional practice skills with ability to deliver course content related to course objectives. Create an environment conducive to student learning in the classroom and laboratory utilizing a variety of instructional modalities. Ability to maintain an organized, clean, and safe teaching environment obeying safety regulations where applicable. Ability to maintain professionalism and classroom management with a diverse student population. Demonstrate accessibility in dealing with students needs individually and as a group that fosters student retention. Ability to effectively evaluate student performance in classroom, laboratory and clinical area based on designated evaluation tools. Demonstrates knowledge of academic and student services policies. Demonstrate constructive planning and general effectiveness based on student and administrative evaluations. Submit and update all paperwork, required reports, and evaluations to students and administration as required.
