The network’s school in Shreveport, LA, Linwood, is looking for a Pre-K Teacher Assistant. Linwood’s teacher assistants help students improve academic proficiency and build habits of success. They create a safe and orderly learning environment for students who are assigned to their class and for all the students in the school. They are supervised by the principal and assistant principal. Teacher Assistants work with distinguished teachers to grow their craft and become classroom teachers. Teacher Assistants teach students in collaboration with the distinguished teachers. They do not plan lessons or assignments, but will familiarize themselves with the lessons and the instructional materials in order to teach effectively. Teacher assistants receive great support. Lesson plans, demonstrations of learning, and student assignments and activities are provided to the teachers by expert curriculum developers. Teacher assistants makes copies and grade papers for the teachers. The minimum salary for a teacher assistant with at least three years of demonstrated achievement results is $43,000. We also provide health, dental, and vision for only $50 a month.
